Latvijas preču eksporta konkurētspējas novērtēšana

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā ir aplūkoti eksporta konkurētspējas novērtēšanas teorētiskie un metodoloģiskie aspekti, kā rezultātā ir izstrādāta eksporta konkurētspējas definīcija un klasificētas eksporta konkurētspējas novērtēšanas metodes. Atbilstoši metodoloģijai ir veikta Latvijas preču eksporta konkurētspējas salīdzinošā analīze ar citām ES valstīm. Veiktās analīzes rezultāti atklāj, ka Latvija ir spējusi paaugstināt eksporta konkurētspēju kopš iestāšanās ES, taču salīdzinot ar citām ES valstīm, pastāv vairāki trūkumi: eksportā dominē neapstrādātu un mazapstrādātu preču eksports, eksporta struktūra nav pietiekami diversificēta, zems augsto tehnoloģiju īpatsvars, lēna rūpniecības attīstība un kvalificēta darbaspēka trūkums. Šo trūkumu novēršanai ir izstrādāti priekšlikumi, kas ir vērsti uz Latvijas uzņēmumu konkurētspējas paaugstināšanu, finansējuma piesaisti rūpniecības nozarei, investīciju vides uzlabošanu, pētniecības infrastruktūras nostiprināšanu. In this bachelor’s thesis the author examines theoretical and methodological aspects of export competitiveness; as a result the author has created the definition of export competitiveness and has classified the methods for evaluating the export competitiveness. According to methodology the author analyses Latvian export competitiveness comparing it to other EU member states’ export competitiveness. The results of this analysis show that Latvia has managed to increase the export competitiveness since joining the EU, however there are some weaknesses: Latvian export is dominated by crude products, the structure of export is not diversified enough, there is a small share of high technology exports, the manufacturing has been developing very slowly and there is a shortage of qualified labor force. As possible scenarios to eliminate these weaknesses, author has created the suggestions focused on increasing the competitiveness of Latvian enterprises, attracting funding in manufacturing sector, improving the investment climate and strengthening the research infrastructure.
