Kampaņas idle no more metaforu analīze

Abstract

Šajā bakalaura darbā tiek pētīts metaforu lietojums tekstos, kuri aizstāv aborigēnu viedokli un tekstos kuri atbalsta valdības nostāju par kampaņu Idle No More, lai noskaidrotu, kā metaforu lietojums ietekmē lasītāju situācijas izpratni. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir noteikt metaforu lietojumu divās politiskās nometnēs. Rezultāti parāda, ka metaforu lietojums abās nometnēs ir atšķirīgs. Analīze atsedzot pozitīvās un negatīvās metaforu šķautnes pierādīja vajadzību pēc konteksta, jo metaforu analīze viena teikuma ietvaros ne vienmēr sniedz kvalitatīvu rezultātu.

The present paper is devised for the discussion of metaphors used in pro-aboriginal and pro-governmental articles on movement Idle No More to clarify how the choice of metaphors establishes the readers’ situational perception. The goal of the thesis is to determine metaphor variation in two political camps. The findings demonstrate that the use of metaphors differ across both camps. The analysis of metaphors along positive-negative axis proved to require contextual placement of the same. The analysis of metaphors within the frame of one sentence will not always yield comprehensive qualitative data.
