Laimes meklējuma motīvi Anšlava Eglīša agrīnajā prozā

Abstract

Laimes meklējumi ir cilvēku dzinējspēks jau kopš antīkajiem laikiem. Tomēr izpratne par to, kas ir laime, ir sava gan katram laikmetam, gan cilvēkam individuāli.

Darbā pētītajos Anšlava Eglīša vēl Latvijā tapušajos darbos laimes meklējumi atspoguļo 20.- 40.gadu Latvijas sabiedrībā valdošos uzskatus par veiksmīgu un laimīgu cilvēku. A. Eglītis rāda laimes meklējumu nebeidzamību, cilvēku šaubas par sava izvēlētā ceļa pareizību un cīņu ar savu raksturu un sabiedrības radītajiem priekšstatiem mērķu sasniegšanai. Stāstu un romāna „Līgavu mednieki” elegantais, vieglais un ar humoru veidotais vēstījums neietver neviena varoņa nosodījumi, tomēr pētījumā apkopotie to stāstījumu veidojošie elementi un A. Eglīša personiskās dienasgrāmatas atklāj arī paša autora pozīciju un izvēles.

Since ancient times, seeking for happiness is human motive force. However, in various periods and for each person individually, understanding about meaning of happiness is different. Seeking for Happiness in writings of Anslavs Eglitis investigated in this research; represent a leading opinion about „happy person” in society of Latvia in period of years 1920 to 1940. Anslavs Eglitis shows endless seeking for happiness, people doubts about the chosen way of life and fight with own character and societies conceptions about, how to achieve goals in the life. Elegant, light and generated with humor the stories and the novel “Bride Hunters” does not include a single condemnation of the hero. However the constituent elements of the narrative and personal diaries of Anslavs Eglitis, compiled in this research, also reveals the author's position and choices.
