Luterāņa J.Ērmaņa un baptista J.Iņķa teoloģiskās diskusijas par kristību 20.gs. sākumā: vēsturiski salīdzinoša analīze

Abstract

Šī darba tēma ir „Luterāņa J.Ērmaņa un baptista J.Iņķa teoloģiskās diskusijas par kristību 20.gs. sākumā: vēsturiski salīdzinoša analīze”. Darbā tiek analizēta šī diskusija par kristības teoloģiju un praksi, salīdzinot to ar vēsturisko kontekstu. 19.gs.-20.gs. sākumā luterāņi, kā tradicionālā baznīca, un baptisti, kā jauna kustība Latvijā, izturējās viena pret otru noraidoši. Tas arī atspoguļojas Ērmaņa un Iņķa publikācijās. Diskusija galvenokārt ir par to, kas var tikt kristīts, ko kristība dod un kādā veidā tai ir jānotiek. Bez Svētajiem Rakstiem Ērmanis un Iņķis atsaucas arī uz citiem avotiem: kristietības vēsturi, baznīcas tradīciju, baznīcas tēviem. Viņu diskusija lielā mērā ir tā laika luterāņu un baptistu attiecību atspoguļojums.The theme of this work is „Theological discussions of Lutheran J.Ermanis with Baptist J.Inkis about baptism in the beginning of 20th century: historical comparative analysis”. In this work is analyzed this discussion about theology and practice of baptism. with comparison to historical context. In 19th and beginning of 20th century Lutherans as traditional Church and Baptists as new movement in Latvia were neglecting each other. This is seen also from publications of Ermanis and Inkis. Discussion mainly is about who can be baptized, what kind of benefit gives baptism and in what kind of order it should be performed. Along with Holy Scriptures Ermanis and Inkis gives credit also to other sources: history of Christianity, Church tradition, Church Fathers. Their discussions represent the relationships of Lutherans and Baptists of that time.
