Abstract
This research looks into application of enunciative analysis of literary texts in the process of translation. The corpus of the research is based on two novels Je m’en vais and Les Grandes Blondes of contemporary French writer Jean Echenoz, as well as on translations of novel Je m’en vais in Latvian and in Lithuanian. An examination of the use of indicators of person, indicators of space and time, of verbs and of reported speech is followed by an analysis of translations in Latvian and Lithuanian, as well as propositions of translations of fragments in Latvian. Enunciative analysis can be useful in the process of perception, interpretation and translation of literary texts.
