Problēmas lietošanas pamācību tulkošanā

Abstract

Šajā darbā pētītas problēmas lietošanas pamācību tulkošanā no angļu valodas latviešu valodā. Darba mērķis ir pierādīt tulkojuma tematikas un terminoloģijas zināšanu, kā arī dažādu tulkošanas tehniku pielietošanas prasmju nozīmi veiksmīga tulkojuma radīšanā. Darba teorētiskā daļa satur pārskatu par tekstu tipiem, lietošanas pamācību veidiem un to izkārtojumu. Teorētiskajā daļā apskatīti arī tādi aspekti kā informatīvo tekstu tulkošana, tulkošanas tehnikas, problēmas tulkojot terminoloģiju, kā arī tulkotāja loma lietošanas pamācību tulkošanā. Darba praktiskā daļa satur tulkojumu paraugu analīzi. Pētījuma rezultāti liecina, ka visbiežāk sastopamās kļūdas ir gramatikas neprecizitātes un kļūdas vārda izvēlē. Tulkojumu analīze atklāj, ka veiksmīga tulkojuma izveidē pielietotas vairākas sarežģītas tulkošanas tehnikas. Šī pētījuma rezultāti var būt noderīgi, izstrādājot padziļinātu pētījumu par lietošanas pamācību tulkošanu no angļu valodas latviešu valodā. The present paper investigates problems in operating manual translation from English into Latvian. The aim of the paper is to prove the importance of the translator’s knowledge of the subject matter, its terminology and the ability to successfully use a variety of translation methods in creating a successful translation. The theoretical part of the study contains an overview of text types, manual types, and layout of operating manuals. Aspects such as informative text translation, translation techniques, terminological problems, as well as the role of translator in operating manual translation are also covered in the theoretical part of the study. Sample translations are analysed in the practical part of the paper. The results show that most often encountered mistakes are grammar mistakes and inaccuracies in the choice of the word. The analysis reveals that a multitude of complex translation techniques are used in creating a successful translation. The results of this study can be useful for a more thorough investigation of operating manual translation from English into Latvian.
