Latvijas hiphop subkultūra kā identitāti konstruējošs elements

Abstract

Bakalaura darbs „Latvijas hiphop subkultūra kā identitāti konstruējošs elements” tapis, lai izpētītu, kā Latvijas hiphopa subkultūrai piederošie mūziķi saista savu identitāti ar Latvijas hiphopa subkulturālo identitāti. Pētījuma gaitā tika izvēlēti vairāki identitāti konstruējoši elementi – mūzika, apģērbs, dzimtes lomas un valoda. Izmantojot kvalitatīvu datu ieguves veidu – daļēji strukturētas intervijas, tika noskaidroti septiņu hiphopa subkultūras mākslinieku – reperu – uzskati par viņu piederību subkultūrai un reperim vēlamām praksēm un nepieciešamiem identitāti konstruējošiem elementiem. Pētījuma rezultāti liecina, ka Latvijā eksistē hiphopa subkultūra, kas nav homogēna, bet tik un tā hiphopa subkulturālajai identitātei ir liela loma indivīda individuālās identitātes konstruēšanā.

This bachelor's thesis “Latvian hiphop subculture as the element of constructing identity” is created to explore how the individual constructs his identity through membership of hip-hop subculture in Latvia. During the research several identity constructing elements were selected – music, clothes and appearance, gender roles and language. Using qualitative data inquiry method – semi-structured interviews – opinions of seven hip-hop artists – rappers – were gathered and included data about their views of the subculture membership, the practices and other rapper identity constructing elements. The results of the study show that in Latvia there is non-homogenous hip-hop subculture, however, it has an important role in constructing the individual identities.
