Abstract
Bakalaura darba nosaukums: Banku sistēma Latvijā. Latvijā banku sistēmu veido divi līmeņi. Pirmajā līmenī ietilpst centrālā banka – Latvijas Banka un otrajā līmenī ietilpst komercbankas un citas kredītiestādes. Darbā tiek apskatīts banku sistēmas pirmais līmenis un no otrā līmeņa tikai komercbankas, jo tās sniedz pakalpojumus lielākajai daļai sabiedrības. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir, balstoties uz teorētisko un speciālo literatūru ekonomikā, normatīvo dokumentu un statistisko datu analīzi, veikt Latvijas banku sistēmas izpēti un analīzi, lai varētu izstrādāt priekšlikumus banku sistēmas tālākai attīstībai Latvijā.
Darbā autore secina, ka banku sistēma Latvijā sasniegusi zināmu attīstības pakāpi un kļuvusi par labi funkcionējošu sistēmu, taču tai vēl ir attīstības perspektīvas.
Name of graduation work: The bank system in Latvia. Latvian banking system consists of 2 levels. The first level includes central bank –Latvian Bank. The second level includes trade banks and other credit establishments. The work researches the first level of Latvian banking system as well as credit banks because the most part of population use the services the banks provide. The aim of the research is to investigate and analyze the Latvian banking system basing on the theoretical and special literature on economics, as well as on statutory regulations and analysis of statistical data, in order to make a proposal on the further development of Latvian banking system.The following conclusion was made in the course of the research: Latvian banking system has acquired such a level of development that the system is well functioning, however still the are perspectives of further development.
