Abstract
Darbs sastāv no 46
lappusēm.

Bachelor thesis ""Huangdi neijing" as the Theoretical Basis of Traditional Chinese Medicine" is dedicated to the study of "Huangdi neijing", also known as "The Yellow Emperor's Classic of Medicine" and to the Chinese traditional medicine leading theories which are reflected in it. "The Yellow Emperor's Classic of Medicine" is still the largest classical text, available in our time, which is dedicated to questions of Chinese traditional medicine. It has established a theoretical base for the further development of Chinese traditional medicine. In our time in Western societies there is a big interest in methods of alternative medicine and new treatment practices, and Chinese traditional medicine as such plays here an important role. Many methods are already used around the world. The same situation can also be observed in Latvia. The major objective of this thesis is to trace back the development of "Huangdi neijing", its real author, as well as to explore the theoretical base of the traditional Chinese medicine which is reflected in "Huangdi neijing" and real possibilities of application in Chinese medicine nowadays. This thesis is divided into two parts. The first part reflects conditions of the creation of "Huangdi neijing", while the second part gives a theoretical analysis of "Huangdi neijing". The research method of this thesis is connected with literary criticism approach, aimed at the analysis of the canon's contents and theories. The thesis contains 46 pages. Key words: traditional medicine, Chinese medicine, classical texts
