Abstract
Bakalaura darba mērķis ir izpētīt Raiņa un Bisenieka veiktos Gētes „Fausta” tulkojumus nodaļā „Valpurģu nakts sapnis”.
Bakalaura darba hipotēze ir – Valda Bisenieka tulkojums ir mūsdienīgāks un mūsdienu lasītājam vieglāk uztverams.
Darbs sastāv no septiņām nodaļām, kurās tiek aplūkota tulkošanas teorija, dots vispārīgs ieskats par J.V. Gētes, Raiņa un Valda Bisenieka biogrāfijām, kā arī tiek atklāta „Fausta” un tā tulkojumu tapšana. Tālāk bakalaura darbā iekļauta citātu analīze, lai varētu pierādīt darba hipotēzi. Pēdējā nodaļā apkopoti dati par bakalaura darba ietvaros veikto aptauju. Tika aptaujāti 42 cilvēki un pierādījās tas, ka sabiedrība par vieglāk uztveramu uzskata Valda Bisenieka tulkojumu.

The title of bachelor is “Goethe’s “Faust” in translation by Rainis and Bisenieks: The dream of Valpurginsnight”. The purpose of bachelor is to study translations by Rainis and Bisenieks (Chapter “The dream of Valpurginsnight”). Firstly, my bachelor work focuses on the theory of translation and problems which are relevant to translations. The quotations have been extracted from “Faust” from “The dream of Walpurgisnight”. The hypothesis is that, translation by Bisenieks can be read more easily, because it is more contemporary. Bachelor work consists of seven parts, in which are covered the difficulties of translations, biographies of J.V. von Goethe, Rainis and Bisenieks, “Fausts” original and translation, the analyzing part of quotations. The realized questionnaire, which shows that, nowadays the society understands the translation by Bisenieks better. On the base of exploration is concluded, that both translations are genial, but translation by Bisenieks is more contemporary and people can better understand it.
