Abstract

Rīga, Latvijas Universitāte, 66 lpp. Maģistra darbā ir veikts pētījums par Lubāna ledus loba laterālajām bīdes morēnām Austrumlatvijas zemienē, to ģeotelpisko novietojumu, reljefa formu morfoloģiju un iekšējo uzbūvi. Pētījuma mērķis ir identificēt un raksturot laterālās bīdes morēnas Austrumlatvijas zemienē. Lauka pētījumos apsekoti atsegumi karjeros, veikta slāņu saguluma elementu uzmērīšana un paraugu noņemšana OSL datējumiem. Pētījuma noslēgumā iegūtie rezultāti ļauj veikt interpretāciju un izdarīt secinājumus par laterālo bīdes morēnu veidošanās secību un Lubāna ledus loba dinamiku un aprimšanu Kaldabruņas un Gulbenes oscilācijas fāžu laikā.

This Master’s thesis examines spatial distribution and arrangement, morphology, internal structure of lateral shear moraines created by Lubāns ice lobe in the territory of Eastern Latvia lowland. The aim of this research is to identify and describe lateral shear moraines in Eastern Latvia lowland. Surveying of sand pits, measurements of bedding and structural elements, and sampling of sediments for OSL dating were done during the field works. The morphology, internal structure and OSL dates were served as a main source of information for reconstruction of the paleogeographic environment of the development of the lateral shear moraines of the study area. Obtained results allow to draw interpretation and conclusions on identification, internal structure and succession of formation of the lateral shear moraines as a result of ice mass dynamics and gradual stagnation of the Lubāns ice lobe during the Kaldabruna and Gulbene oscillation phases.
