Abstract
Companies in the IT industry are operating in a highly competitive employer market – remuneration, monetary and non-monetary, must be competitive to attract and retain IT specialists. This study aims to determine key components of the compensation system and suggest ways to improve remuneration, based on literature about remuneration and work motivation, as well as the author’s research about the IT sector specifics. The author concludes that monetary compensation, especially salary, is more important compared to non-monetary, of which work-life balance is the most significant. The bachelor’s thesis consists of 78 pages. It contains 35 figures, 7 tables, 5 annexes. A total of 68 literature sources have been used.
