Skolotājs kā līderis

Abstract

Arvien biežāk skola un skolotāji tiek regulāri pieminēti masu medijos, kas nav glaimojoša informācija par šiem profesijas pārstāvjiem. Skolotājs kā līderis ir tas, kurš var virzīt uz pārmaiņām, uzlabojot gan savu, gan kolēģu un skolēnu darba vidi, gan veidojot veiksmīgu sadarbību ar skolēnu vecākiem, stiprinot un paaugstinot skolas pozitīvo tēlu. Maģistra darbs tika veidots, lai paradītu, ka skolotājs kā līderis var uzlabot savu un citu darba vidi, tādēļ darbā tika izvirzīta hipotēze, ka skolotāji neapzinās sevis kā līdera nepieciešamību un prasmi. Pētījums atklāj, ka skolotāji sevi apzinās kā līderi, taču līdz galam neizprot šī līdera nozīmi, ko tas dod, ne tikai pašiem, bet arī apkārtējai sabiedrībai.

More and more often, a school or the teachers are mentioned in mass media, mentioning information which is not flattering for those working in this profession. A teacher as a leader is the one who can push for change, improving both their own as well as their colleagues’ and their students’ working environment and creating a successful cooperation with the parents, thus, strengthening and enhancing the positive image of the school. Master's thesis was designed to show that a teacher as a leader can improve the work environment for their own as well as the others. Therefore the hypothesis of the paper was that teachers do not realize the need and the skills of being a leader. The study reveals that teachers are aware of oneself as a leader, yet fails to completely understand the importance of the leadership, what it gives, not only for themselves, but also for the community.
