Nomales efekta ģeogrāfiskās atšķirības Latvijā

Abstract

Maģistra darbā izvērtētas “nomales efekta” ģeogrāfiskās atšķirības Latvijā, analizējot sociāli ekonomiskos faktorus un to teritoriālu grupēšanos pēc izpētē lietotajiem rādītājiem. “Nomales efekts” apzīmē vietas, teritorijas un reģionus, kuri demogrāfisko, sociālo, ekonomisko vai politisko pārmaiņu rezultātā atpaliek attīstībā, salīdzinot ar valsts vai reģiona vidējiem rādītājiem. Pētījumā analizēti demogrāfiskās, sociālās un ekonomiskās attīstības rādītāji un to ģeogrāfiskās atšķirības. Darba galvenie rezultāti iegūti, izmantojot tādas kvantitatīvās datu statistiskās analīzes metodes kā faktoranalīze un klasteranalīze. Pētījumā identificētas “nomales efekta” skartās teritorijas, kā arī izvērtētas šo teritoriju ģeogrāfiskā izvietojuma atšķirības un notikušās pārmaiņas Latvijas reģionos un apdzīvojumā.

The Master's thesis evaluates the geographical disparities of left-behind places in Latvia by examining socio-economic factors and their territorial clustering based on the indicators employed in the study. The term "left-behind places" refers to territories and regions that, due to demographic, social, economic, or political changes, are lagging in development compared to the national or regional average. The study analyses demographic, social, and economic development indicators and their geographical variations. The primary findings are derived using quantitative statistical data analysis methods, such as factor analysis and cluster analysis. The study identifies areas affected by deprivation and assesses the geographical distribution differences of left-behind places, as well as the changes that have occurred in the regions and urban system of Latvia.
