Darbs sastāv no četrām daļām: 1. daļā tiek aplūkoti teorētiskie pētījumi par pirmsskolēnu domāšanas un runas attīstību; 2. daļā sniegts rotaļas kā pirmsskolas vecuma bērnu galvenā darbības veida novērtējums; 3. daļā tiek aplūkoti bērnu runas traucējumi un tiek aprakstīta rotaļu izvēle un bērnu ar valodas sistēmas nepietiekamu attīstību uzvedība rotaļu laikā; 4. daļā aprakstīti pētījumi par rotaļu izvēli un bērnu ar valodas sistēmas nepietiekamu attīstību uzvedību rotaļu laikā.

This research work consists of four parts: the 1st part is devoted to theoretical research on preschool children’s thinking and speech development; in the 2nd part an evaluation of games as the principal occupation form of preschool age children is given; the 3rd part consists of an overview of children's speech disorders and a description of game choice and the behaviour of children with insufficient language system development in the game process; in the 4th part, studies on the behaviour of children with insufficient development of the language system in the gaming process are described.
