Dubultnieks Pītera Akroida romānā "Viktora Frankenšteina dienasgrāmata"

Abstract

Šī diplomdarba tēma ir: Dubultnieks Pītera Akroida romānā “Viktora Frankenšteina dienasgrāmata”. Šī pētījuma mērķis ir iztirzāt doppelgänger jēdzienu un kā tas padara Akroida romānu atšķirīgu no Šellijas romāna par Viktoru Frankenšteinu. Tiek izmantoti sekojoši paņēmieni un metodes: literatūras pārskats, galvenā varoņa un viņa sapņu psihoanalīze, romānu sižetu salīdzinošā analīze, vēsturisko figūru biogrāfisko faktu un varoņu gaitu salīdzinošā analīze. Šis pētījums apstiprināja izvirzīto hipotēzi. Darbs demonstrē, ka Akroida varonis Viktors Frankenšteins ir attēlots, kā cilvēks ar psiholoģiskiem traucējumiem. Darbā tiek paradīts, kā Akroida Viktora dubultnieks (doppelgänger) tekstuāli atdzīvina Šellijas slaveno varoni.

The subject of the thesis is: Doppelgänger in Peter Ackroyd’s novel “The casebook of Victor Frankenstein”. The aim of this research paper is to investigate the concept of doppelgänger and to show how it makes Ackroyd’s novel different from Shelley’s story about Victor Frankenstein. The following approaches and methods were applied: literature review, a psychoanalytical approach to the protagonist and his dreams, a comparative analysis of the novels’ plots, a comparative analysis of the biographic facts of the historical figures and the fictional facts of the characters. This research proved the advanced hypothesis. It has demonstrated that Ackroyd’s Victor Frankenstein is shown as a person with psychological disorders. The research has shown how Ackroyd’s Victor’s doppelgänger textually reanimates Shelley’s famous character.
