Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma – “Pacientu pieredze saistībā ar arteriovenozās fistulas un centrālā venozā katetra lietošanu hemodialīzes laikā”. Darbs aplūko asinsvadu piekļuves veidu nozīmi hemodialīzes terapijā, fokusējoties uz pacientu pieredzi ar arteriovenozās (AV) fistulas un centrālā venozā katetra (CVK) izmantošanu. Tēma ir aktuāla, jo izvēlētā piekļuves metode būtiski ietekmē gan dialīzes efektivitāti, gan pacienta dzīves kvalitāti. Darbā izvērtētas šo metožu priekšrocības un trūkumi, balstoties gan uz literatūras analīzi, gan pacientu subjektīvo vērtējumu. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt pacientu pieredzi ar AV fistulu un CVK lietošanu hemodialīzes laikā, kā arī noskaidrot šo piekļuves formu ietekmi uz ārstēšanas procesu un emocionālo labsajūtu. Pētījuma pamatā ir kvalitatīvā pētniecības pieeja, izmantojot daļēji strukturētu interviju kā datu ieguves metodi. Darba ietvaros analizēta aktuālā literatūra par hemodialīzes piekļuves metodēm, veikta empīriska datu apkopošana un saturiskā analīze. Iegūtie rezultāti atklāj pacientu priekšstatus un pieredzi, sniedzot praktiskus ieteikumus pacientu aprūpes uzlabošanai hemodialīzes kontekstā.

The topic of this bachelor's thesis is "Patient Experience Regarding the Use of Arteriovenous Fistula and Central Venous Catheter in Hemodialysis." This study explores the significance of vascular access methods in hemodialysis, focusing on patient experience with arteriovenous fistulas (AVFs) and central venous catheters (CVCs). The topic is highly relevant, as the choice of vascular access significantly affects both the efficiency of dialysis and the patient’s quality of life. The advantages and disadvantages of each method are evaluated from both a clinical and patient-centered perspective. The aim of the study is to investigate patient experiences related to the use of AVFs and CVCs during hemodialysis, and to assess how these methods influence the treatment process and the patient's emotional well-being. A qualitative research approach was applied, using semi-structured interviews as the primary data collection method. The thesis includes a review of scientific literature on hemodialysis access methods, empirical data collection, and thematic analysis. The results provide insights into patients’ perceptions of the two vascular access types and offer practical recommendations for improving the quality of patient care in hemodialysis settings.
