Ģeogrāfiskās telpas sociālā konstruēšana: Austrumeiropas (vai Orienta) konceptualizācijas piemērs

Abstract

Mentālās kartes ir neatdalamā daļa no mūsu domāšanas. Mentālās kartes ietekmē cilvēku subjektīvās vēsturiskās, ģeogrāfiskās un politiskās telpas veidošanu. Šajā darbā es aprakstīšu, kā ar mentālo karšu palīdzību laikmetā no 18.gs. Rietumeiropā aizsākās Austrumeiropas priekšstata veidošanas vēsture, kura attīstība tiks izskatīta līdz mūsdienām. Šī jautājuma noskaidrošanai, par pamatu pielietoju L. Vulfa grāmatu “Izgudrojot Austrumeiropu”, A. Apelbauma “Dzelzs priekškars”, H. Lefevra “Telpas konstruēšana”.Mental cards take the vital part of our thinking. Mental cards effect person’s historical, geographical and political space formation. This piece of work describes the history of how mental cards have affected Western Europe people’s formation of prejudice about Easterт Europe starting from the period of enlightenment and continuing nowadays. As the supporting literature L.Wolff. “Inventing Eastern Europe: The Map of Civilization on the Mind of the Enlightenment” will be used. Also this piece will be based on other works, such as “Iron Curtain, The Crushing of Eastern Europe, 1944-1956” by Anne Applebaum and “La production de l'espace” by Henri Lefebvre.
