Dažādības izpratnes veicināšana sešus gadus veciem bērniem literatūras nodarbībās starptautiskajā skolā

Abstract

Ar dažādību saistīto problēmu aktualitāte izglītībā kļūst arvien izplatītāka. Maģistra darbā ir izpētītas starptautisko skolēnu un skolotāju attieksmes par dažādību saistītām tēmām, ar mērķi veicināt skolēnos izpratni par dažādības jēdzieniem literatūras stundu laikā, izmantojot literatūru kā galveno mācību līdzekli. Darbā tiek izmantotas jauktas metodes pētījums, kura pamatā ir skolēnu uzvedības analīze literatūras stundās, kas fokusējas uz dažādības tematiem; sākumsskolas skolotāju aptaujas rezultātu analīze un divu klases audzinātāju interviju analīze. Rezultātā tiek secināts, ka šī vecuma bērniem jau ir izveidojusies attieksme par dažādības tematiem. Vairums aptaujāto pedagogu uzskata, ka skolēnu izglītošana dažādības jautājumos jāsāk jau agrāk nekā sešu gadu vecumā. Skolotāji šim vecumposmam izmanto literatūru kā galveno dažādības izpratnes veicināšanas metodi.

The topicality of diversity related issues in education are becoming more common. The thesis explores the theoretical background of diversity and international student and teacher attitudes towards various diversity topics, with a motivation to raise awareness of these topics in a kindergarten class using literature as the main teaching method. A mixed-method case study is presented, and results analyzed based on the analysis of student shown behaviours during literature lessons and results of a teacher survey, and kindergarten teacher interviews. The results show that children in kindergarten already have developed multiple attitudes towards people who are different from them. The majority of surveyed teachers believe that educating students about diversity should begin before kindergarten. Read-out louds and literature is used by teachers as the main method for a successful promotion of diversity.
