Latviešu bēgļi Zviedrijā (1943–1947)

Abstract

Darbā tiek pētītas latviešu bēgļu gaitas Zviedrijā laika posmā no 1943.-1947.gadam, īpašu uzmanību pievēršot to ekonomiskajām un politiskajām problēmām. Norādītajā laika periodā Zviedrija kļuva par patvēruma zemi bēgļiem no Latvijas un, lai izprastu to vēlmi atstāt dzimteni, darbā tiek pētīti bēgļu izceļošanas motīvi, apskatīta to sociālā struktūra un iespējamais skaits Zviedrijā. Ar organizētās „laivu akcijas” starpniecību pāri Baltijas jūrai Zviedrijā nonāca rietumnieciski orientēti latviešu politiķi un inteliģence. Tādēļ šajā pētījumā tiek apskatīta lielāko latviešu bēgļu politisko un sabiedrisko organizāciju izveide, to darbības virzieni un ideoloģiskās pretrunas. Kā galvenie izpētes avoti tiek izmantoti Latvijas Valsts vēstures arhīva materiāli un laikabiedru atmiņas, kas sniedz vēsturisku informāciju par notikumiem Zviedrijā.

This paper presents a research into the experience of Latvian refugees in Sweden in the period of 1943-1947, delving mostly into their economic and political problems. At that time Sweden became an asylum for the refugees from the Latvia. To comprehend the desire of Latvians for leaving their native land, the motives of emigration of refugees are investigated in this paper, as well as their social structure and the possible number of refugees in Sweden. The Latvian Central Council was formed in Latvia and its mediation «a boat action» over the Baltic Sea was organized. As a result, westerly orientated Latvian politicians and intelligentsia came to Sweden. By reason of this, the formation of the largest Latvian political and social organizations, the course of their activities and ideological contradictions are analyzed in this paper.
