Leksiskie izteiksmes līdzekļi, kas veido spriedzi Stīvena Kinga darbā „Tas”

Abstract

Spriedze ir atrodama katrā literārā darbā. Rakstnieki izmanto spriedzi, lai izveidotu un uzturētu lasītāju interesi par viņa darbu. Lai gan spriedze tiek uzskatīta par necilu literāro tehniku, ir žanri, kuros spriedze ir to neatņemama sastāvdaļa, kā mistērija un šausmu literatūra. Šajos žanros spriedze darbojas kā dzinējs lasītāju interesei, jo stāstījums liek viņiem minēt kas notiks tālāk un kāds būs stāstījuma atrisinājums. Spriedze var apskatīt no stāstījuma makro līmeņa un mikro līmeņa. Šis darbs aplūkos spriedzes veidošanu no mikro līmeņa- valodas. Šī bakalaura darba mērķis ir analizēt leksiskos izteiksmes līdzekļus, kas veido spriedzi Stīvena Kinga darbā „Tas“. Leksisko izteiksmes līdzekļu analīze ir koncentrēta uz spriedzes veidošanu caur stāstījuma vidi un tēlu.

Suspense can be found in every literary work. Authors use suspense to create and maintain reader interest in their work. Although suspense is widely criticized as being a low literary technique there are genres which cannot function without it, like mystery and horror. In these genres suspense works as a fuel for readers because the narrative keeps them guessing about what will happen next and what will be the resolution. Suspense can be viewed from the macro level and micro level of narrative. This work will explore the creating of suspense on the micro level of the narrative- language. The goal of this Bachelor thesis is to analyse the use of lexical means in creating suspense in Stephen King’s novel “It”. The analysis of lexical means in creating suspense will address two particular aspects of narrative such as setting and character.
