Skolēnu motivācija un motivāciju stratēģiju lietošana angļu valodas mācīšanai vidusskolā

Abstract

Skolēnu motivācija tiek uzskatīta par būtisku veiksmīgas mācīšanās procesa sastāvdaļu un pastāv uzskats, ka motivācijas stratēģiju pielietošana uzlabo skolēnu motivāciju. Diplomdarba tēmas izvēli noteica autora interese veicināt skolēnu motivāciju, lai mācītos svešvalodu. Šī diplomdarba mērķis bija pielietot un analizēt svešvalodu mācīšanas un mācīšanās motivācijas stratēģijas svešvalodu stundās. Darbības pētījums tika izvēlēts tāpēc, lai tiktu sasniegti šī diplomdarba mērķi. Pētījumā iegūtie dati parāda, ka motivācijas stratēģiju izmantošana angļu valodas stundās ietekmē un palielina skolēnu motivāciju, kā arī pozitīvu attieksmi pret mācībām, ieguvumiem un interesēm. Iegūtie rezultāti veido secinājumus, ka motivācijas stratēģiju pielietošana ir būtiska un nozīmīga skolotāja motivējošās prakses daļa.

Students’ motivation is considered to be an important part of successful learning process and the implementation of motivational strategies is generally believed to enhance students’ motivation. The choice of the theme for the diploma paper was determined by the author’s interest in promoting students’ motivation to learn a foreign language. The purpose of the diploma paper was to apply and analyze motivational strategies for teaching and learning at the foreign language classroom. Action research has been chosen to meet the purposes of the present paper. The findings of the research indicate that the use of motivational strategies during English language classes influences and increases students’ motivation, positive attitude towards learning, achievement and interest. The obtained results are formed into conclusion that the implementation of motivational strategies is a crucial and significant part of teacher’s motivational practice.
