Attiecības ar nāvi paliatīvās aprūpes nodaļā: speciālistu perspektīva

Abstract

Diplomdarba mērķis ir uzzināt PA nodaļā strādājošu speciālistu pieredzies un priekšstatus saistībā ar miršanu un nāvi un to, kādas speciālista attiecības ar nāvi šajās pieredzēs un priekšstatos atklājas. Mana konceptuālā perspektīva iekļauj 4 dimensijas speciālistu attiecībās ar nāvi: individuālā, sociālā, iemiesotā un telpiskā. Lauka darbā veicu 13 padziļinātas daļēji strukturētas intervijas vienā no Latvijas paliatīvās aprūpes nodaļu kolektīviem. Intervijās atklājās tas, ka speciālistu attiecības ar nāvi veido attiecības ar pacientiem, viņu tuviniekiem un kolēģiem. Speciālistu attiecības ar nāvi izpaužas arī paliatīvās nodaļas telpās un saistībā ar mirstošiem un mirušiem ķermeņiem.

The aim of the thesis is to learn about experiences and views concerning dying and death from the perspective of specialists working in palliative care and to realize what kind of relations with death are revealed in these experiences and views. My conceptual perspective includes 4 dimensions of specialists’ relations with death: individual, social, embodied, and spatial. During fieldwork I did 13 in-depth semi-structured interviews with specialists from one palliative care unit in Latvia. Interviews revealed that specialists’ relations with death are produced by their relationships with patients, patients’ relatives and their colleagues. Specialists’ relations with death are also expressed in the space of palliative care unit as well asi n relations to dying and dead bodies.
