Abstract
Darbā ir apskatītas dažādas pieejas datu sinhronizācijā, izpētīts rsync protokola darbības algoritms, apskatīts tā realizācijas pirmkods, testēta protokola mērogojamība un pētītas algoritma realizācijas uzlabošanas iespējas.
Darba mērķis ir izpētīt rsync protokola darbības algoritmu un novērtēt tā realizācijas mērogojamību.
Pētījuma rezultātā tika noskaidroti piemērotākie risinājumi dažādos sinhronizācijas gadījumos, noskaidroti protokola realizācijas trūkumi, to cēloņi un piedāvāti daži risinājumi mērogojamības uzlabošanai.
The paper „RSYNC protocol scalability” discusses different approaches of data synchronization, explores rsync protocol algorithm details, examines the source code, tests protocol scalability and explores options for improving the algorithm implementation. The aim is to explore the rsync protocol algorithm and evaluate its implementation scalability. The study ascertained the most appropriate solutions for different synchronization cases, cleared protocol implementation flaws, their causes and proposed some solutions for improving scalability.
