Udens resursu apsaimnieko ana un attiri ana ir viens no butiskakajiem vides izaicinajumiem, ko ietekme klimata parmainas, urbanizacija un piesarnojuma palielina anas. Latvija liela dala majsaimniecibu nav pieslegtas centralizetajam kanalizacijas sistemam, tadel nepiecie ami alternativi un ilgtspejigi notekudenu attiri anas risinajumi. Management and treatment of water resources are some of the most significant environmental challenges affected by climate change, urbanization, and increased pollution. In Latvia, many households are not connected to centralized sewerage systems. Therefore, alternative and sustainable sewage treatment solutions are necessary. One of the most innovative and environmentally friendly solutions is using willow (Salix spp.) systems for wastewater treatment based on nature-based solutions. These systems effectively absorb nitrogen and phosphorus, biorefining and reducing GHG emissions.
