Dzimumu lomu dekonstrukcija Bridžetonu grāmatās un to ekranizācijā.

Abstract

Dzimumu stereotipi ir sastopami vēsturiskajos un mūsdienu literārajos darbos, tomēr mūsdienās var novērot daudzpusīgāku šīs tēmas attēlošanu. Darba mērķis ir analizēt un salīdzināt dzimumu lomu dekonstrukciju Bridžertonu grāmatās un to ekranizācijā. Teorētiskajā daļa tiek analizētas teorijas par postmodernismu, dekonstrukciju un dzimumu lomu atainojumu dažādos diskursos. Empīriskajā daļā, lai analizētu dzimumu lomu dekonstrukciju izvēlētajos avotos, ir izmantota teksta analīze, detalizēta lasīšana, interpretācija un salīdzināšana. Rezultāti demonstrē dzimumu lomu dekonstrukciju galveno varoņu rīcībā, uzskatos un runā, kas ir kā pretstats tā laika aristokrātiskajā sabiedrībā pastāvošajām normām.

Gender stereotypes persist in historical and contemporary works, but there is a noticeable trend toward challenging these representations. The goal of the paper is to analyse and compare the deconstruction of gender roles in the Bridgerton book series and its screen adaptations. The theoretical part reviews postmodernism, deconstruction and gender role representation in different discourses. The empirical part utilises text analysis, close reading, interpretation, and comparison to analyse gender role deconstruction in the chosen sources. The results demonstrate the deconstruction of gender roles in characters’ actions, beliefs and speech which defy the norms prevalent in historical Regency era setting.
