Angļu nenoteiktā vietniekvārda "all" sintakse un lietojums

Abstract

Sintakse un semantika ir savstarpēji saistītas valodniecības pētījumu jomas. Valodnieki ir plaši pētījuši jautājumus, kas saistīti ar sintakses ietkemi uz semantiku vai otrādi, un šie jautājumi joprojām ir būtiskas valodniecisko pētījumu tēmas. Šis bakalaura darbs sniedz pārskatu par leksēmas all sintaktiskajām un semantiskajām īpašībām, kas nosaka tās lietojuma modeļus. Leksēmas all iepriekšējo pētījumu analīze un elektronisko leksikonu izpēte parāda, kā all tiek lietota mūsdienu angļu valodā. Pētījuma resultātā tiek pierādīts, ka leksēmai all piemīt multifunkcionālas un polisemantiskas īpašības, un tās nozīmi ietekmē leksēmas all sintaktiskās īpašības. Turklāt ir pierādīts, ka leksēmas all sintakse un semantika turpina mainīties un paplašināties.

Syntax and semantics are closely related disciplines in linguistic study. The question whether syntax influences the semantics or vice versa has been widely discussed among linguists and continues to be a significant subject for linguistic research. This bachelor paper presents an overview of the lexeme’s all syntactic and semantic properties that determine its usage patterns. The meta-analysis of the existing accounts of all and empirical study of the usage of all from corpora provides evidence of the usage of the lexeme all in present-day English. The results of the study show that the lexeme all is a multifunctional and polysemantic lexeme whose meaning is influenced by its syntactic properties. Moreover, it has proved that the lexeme all continues to expand its syntactic and semantic behaviours.
