Abstract
Maģistra darbs analizē LGBTK+ jauniešu attieksmi pret Valsts aizsardzības dienestu (VAD) Latvijā, izmantojot kvalitatīvu empīrisko pieeju, kas balstīta fokusgrupu diskusijās. Pētījuma mērķis ir izprast, kā LGBTK+ jaunieši pozicionē sevi attiecībā pret nacionālās kopienas simbolisko ietvaru, ko reprezentē VAD, un vai tajā tiek piedzīvota iekļaušana vai izslēgšana. Salīdzinošā analīze starp LGBTK+ un vispārējo jauniešu grupu tiek veikta, balstoties uz četriem indikatoriem: piederības izjūtu, identitātes svarīgumu, diskriminācijas pieredzi un alternatīvas kopienas veidošanu. Teorētiskais ietvars ietver iedomātās kopienas teoriju, sociālās identitātes teoriju. Rezultāti atklāj simboliskas iekšgrupas/ārgrupas dinamikas, strukturālu nedrošību un lojalitātes nosacītību LGBTK+ jauniešu uztverē, kā arī uzsver atsķirības ar kopienai nepiederošiem jauniešiem. Darbs piedāvā rekomendācijas iekļaujošas institucionālās kultūras attīstībai NBS ietvaros.
This master’s thesis examines the attitudes of LGBTQ+ youth toward the National Defense Service (NDS) in Latvia through a qualitative empirical study based on focus group discussions. The aim of the research is to understand how LGBTQ+ youth position themselves in relation to the symbolic framework of the national community as represented by the NDS and whether they experience inclusion or exclusion within it. A comparative analysis between LGBTQ+ and non-LGBTQ+ youth is structured around four analytical indicators: sense of belonging, identity salience, experiences of discrimination, and construction of alternative communities. The theoretical framework includes imagined communities theory, social identity theory. The findings reveal patterns of symbolic in-group, out-group dynamics, structural insecurity, and conditional loyalty among LGBTQ+ youth, differences between peers. The thesis concludes with policy recommendations.
