Abstract
Darba rezultātā izstrādāti attīstības scenāriji un sniegti priekšlikumi to īstenošanai. Darbs sastāv no 116 lappusēm, 28 attēliem, 12 tabulām, 3 pielikumiem (59 lapas).
The master's thesis examines placemaking as a multi-layered approach to territorial development planning. The thesis offers a placemaking perspective on spatial planning outside large cities, choosing Auce and its nucleated villages as the study area. The existence of the nucleated villages is examined during the study, confirming the suitability of placemaking as an approach for the selected area. Placemaking is proposed as a solution for the planning of small places, which are currently facing a decline in population, concentration of services in regional centres and social fragmentation. Using qualitative research methods – semi-structured interviews, document and periodical analysis – the sense of place, community potential and opportunities for revitalisation, as well as the functional and symbolic significance of villages in the development of the area are studied. The thesis presents development scenarios and proposals for their implementation. The thesis consists of 116 pages, 28 images, 12 tables, 3 appendices (59 pages).
