Abstract
Flyable weather forecast determination for paraglider. The aim of this masters thesis is to explore and identify ways how to collect weather forecasting data from public web resources efficiently, to transform gathered data into uniform format, to analyze data and use them for weather forecasting to determine conditions that are favorable for paragliding flights over Jūrkalne seashore bluffs. The following tasks were indicated: how to improve the accuracy of weather forecasting using real flight GPS data from paragliding pilots and how to determine the most favorable areas of Jūrkalne seashore bluffs for paragliding flights under certain weather conditions. In the result of this thesis forecasting model was created. This model is used by a publicly accessible web site where you can determine when it is possible to safely fly over Jurkalne seashore.
