Paleovides un cilvēku aktivitātes mijiedarbības atspoguļojums Rīdzenes upes līča nogulumos

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā sniegta vides analīze senajiem Rīgas ezera nogulumiem, kas iegūti arheoloģiskās izpētes rezultātā Rīgas vēsturiskajā centrā. Karsēšanas zuduma analīze, ķīmiskā sastāva un augu makroatlieku analīze sniedz ieskatu par ekoloģiskajiem un antropogēnajiem apstākļiem konkrētajā Rīdzenes upes posmā viduslaiku beigu un jauno laiku sākumā. Iegūtie dati norāda nogulumu uzkrāšanās apstākļiem, kas raksturīgi mierīgiem, aizaugošas ūdenstilpes piekrastes apstākļiem. Pētījums apliecina, ka pat neliels paraugu apjoms var būt nozīmīgs, lai rekonstruētu kādreizējās sabiedrības mijiedarbību ar vidi, papildinot jau esošās zināšanas par Rīgas pilsētas attīstību, veidojot padziļinātāku izpratni par vēsturiskajiem apstākļiem gan dabas, gan kultūras kontekstā.

The Bachelor Thesis presents the results of environmental analysis of ancient sediments of the Riga Lake obtained during archaeological research in the historical center of Riga. Analysis of loss on ignition, chemical composition and plant macroremains provide insight into the ecological and anthropogenic specifics of the particular Rīdzene River section in the late medieval and early modern periods The obtained data indicate sediment accumulation that is characteristic for a calm, overgrown body of water. The study confirms that even a small sample size can be significant for reconstructing the interaction of the former society with the environment, supplementing existing knowledge about the development of the city of Riga and creating a deeper understanding of the historical context of both nature and culture.
