Stilistiskie izteiksmes līdzekļi Oskara Vailda literārajos darbos

Abstract

Šis bakalaura darbs pēta stilistiskos izteiksmes līdzekļus dižā īru izcelsmes angļu rakstnieka Oskara Vailda divos pasaku krājumos, “Laimīgais Princis un citi stāsti” un ”Granātābolu namiņš”, ka arī „Doriana Greja ģīmetne”, kas ir rakstnieka vienīgais romāns. Daudz literāro kritiķu, tādi kā L. Dansons (2007), J. Kilinss (1999); Vailda biogrāfi, R. Elmans (1988), R. Petingers (2006); kā arī paši lasītāji, ir vienmēr uzskatījuši Oskaru Vaildu par valodas meistaru, kuram piemīt unikāls un viegli atpazīstams rakstīšanas stils. Piedāvātā pētnieciskā darba mērķis ir identificēt tos stilistiskos izteiksmes līdzekļus Vailda pasaku krājumos un romānā, kas padara rakstnieka stilu tik spilgtu, emocionālu un oriģinālu. Šīs pētniecības rezultāti liecina par to, ka šā rakstnieka literārie darbi atspoguļo Vailda estētismu un tie ietver sevī zināmu vēstījumu lasītājiem, it īpaši Viktorijas laikmeta lasītājiem, kuru morāli un tikumisko uzvedību Vailds iedragā savos darbos. Izpētes rezultāti palīdz labāk un dziļāk izprast izteiksmes paņēmienu nozīmi Oskara Vailda pasakās un romānā “Doriana Greja ģīmetne”, kā arī to funkcijas.

The present research investigates expressive stylistic means used by the prominent Anglo-Irish author Oscar Wilde in his two collections of fairy tales, “The Happy Prince and Other Tales” and “A House of Pomegranates”; as well as the writer’s only novel “The Picture of Dorian Gray”. By many literary critics, such as L. Danson (2007), J. Killeen (1999), the author's biographers, R. Ellmann (1988), R. Pettinger (2006), as well as general public, Oscar Wilde has always been considered a master of language, whose style of writing is easily recognizable and unique. The particular research paper aims at identifying the expressive stylistic means used by Wilde is his tales and the novel which add a special emotional colouring and make the writer's style of writing so original and unforgettable. The results of this investigation show that the tales and the novel fully reflect Wilde's involvement in the aesthetic movement, as well as help to undermine the Victorian morality. The outcomes of this research give a more profound understanding of the functions of the expressive stylistic means used by Wilde in his two collections of fairy tales and “The Picture of Dorian Gray” in order to convey the main message to the reader.
