Abstract
Bakalaura darbā pētīta Queer teorijas reprezentācija populārajā kultūrā. Kā teorētisko pamatu ņemot Dž. Batleres Queer teoriju. Analizējot Queer teoriju, tika uzstādīts uzdevums izdalīt svarīgākos dzimtes kā maskarādes aspektus un pētīt to reprezentāciju Lady Gaga un Madonna videoklipos. Darba novitāte ir saistāma ar Madonna un Lady Gaga videoklipu semiotisko analīzi Queer teorijas, precīzāk, dzimtes kā maskarādes aspektā. Darba empīriskajā daļā ir piedāvāta atrodamo dzimtes kā maskarādes kodu semiotiskā analīze, kā arī šo kodu interpretācija dažādās auditorijās. Darba rezultāti apstiprina Queer teorijas reprezentācijas esamību populārajā kultūrā, kā arī parāda pastāvošās interpretācijas atšķirības dažādās auditorijās. The aim of the tesis was to research the representation of Queer theory in popular culture. Taking the basis of Queer theory, the most important key aspects of Queer theory and gender as masquerade were extracted. Extracted aspects were analysed in Lady Gaga’s and Madonna’s videos. Novelty of the research is associated with Lady Gaga’s and Madonna’s video analysis in perspective of Queer theory. In the research part of the thesis the semiotic analysis of gender as masquerade codes is provided. The empirical part offers interpretation of these codes in different audiences. Results of the work confirmed the existence of representations of Queer theory in popular culture, as well as showed the differences in interpretation of gender codes in vairous audiences.
