dc.descriptionGlobal Hinduism is not homogenous. Usually in the process of adjustment to the Western consumer Hinduism transforms to a large extent. Although the founder of ISKCON was not ready to make a compromise with Western worldview and religiosity, ISKCON became one of the most popular forms of Western Hinduism. The article answers the question why ISKCON, rooted in Caitanya Vaishnavism, has experienced just a slight transformation and at the same time is so popular in America and Europe.
