Pašcieņas saistība ar prosociālu uzvedību un empātiju

Abstract

Kā pētījuma mērķis tika izvirzīts izprast pašcieņas, prosociālas uzvedības un empātijas konstruktus un to skaidrojošās teorijas un noskaidrot saistības starp pašcieņu, prosociālu uzvedību un empātiju. Pētījuma izlasi veidoja 68 respondenti vecumā no 18 līdz 25 gadiem. Mainīgo mērīšanai tika izmantotas trīs aptaujas: Rozenberga pašcieņas aptauja (Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, Rosenberg, 1965), Prosociālo tendenču aptauja (Prosocial Tendencies Measure, PTM, Carlo & Randall, 2002) un Empātijas skala (Basic Empathy Scale (BES), Jolliffe & Faringhton, 2006). Pētījuma rezultāti norāda, ka pašcieņa bija pozitīvi saistīta ar kognitīvās empātijas, bet negatīvi – ar anonīmās prosociālās uzvedības rādītāju, kopējā empātija – pozitīvi saistīta ar emocionālās un piekāpīgās prosociālās uzvedības rādītājiem, kognitīvā empātija – pozitīvi saistīta ar emocionālās un krīzes prosociālās uzvedības rādītājiem, bet emocionālā empātija – pozitīvi saistīta ar piekāpīgās prosociālās uzvedības rādītāju.

The aim of the study was to understand the constructs of self-esteem, prosocial behaviour and empathy and their explanatory theories, and to clarify the relations between self-esteem, prosocial behaviour and empathy. The study sample consisted of 68 respondents aged 18 to 25. Three surveys were used to measure the variables: the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (Rosenberg, 1965), the Prosocial Tendencies Measure (PTM, Carlo & Randall, 2002) and the Basic Empathy Scale (BES, Jolliffe & Farington, 2006). The results of the study indicate that self-esteem was positively related to cognitive empathy, but negatively related to anonymous prosocial behaviour, empathy was positively related to emotional and compliant prosocial behaviour, cognitive empathy was positively related to emotional and dire prosocial behaviour, and emotional empathy was positively related to compliant prosocial behaviour.
