Tērvetes upes ielejas morfoloģija un veidošanās

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā apskatīta Tērvetes upes mūsdienu ieleja un procesi, kas to veidojuši laika posmā no Latvijas apledojuma Linkuvas oscilācijas līdz mūsdienām. Teorētiskajā daļā apskatīti galveni noteces ieleju veidotājspēki, kā arī morfoloģiskie procesi, kas veido mūsdienu Latvijas upju ielejām raksturīgos elementus. Sniegts ieskats bakalaura tapšanas gaitā izmantotajās pētniecības metodēs un materiālos. Rezultātu sadaļā analizēti izveidotie ielejas šķērsprofili un garenprofili, kā arī iegūtie Tērvetes un tās ielejas morfoloģiskie rādītāji.

In this bachelor’s thesis the modern day valley of Tērvete river is analyzed, reflecting on the processes responsible of its creation and morphology, starting at Linkuva oscillation phase of the Weichselian glaciation and ongoing until modern times. In the research section a review on the main processes responsible for valley formation, both in the territory of Latvia and globally is made. Main morphological processes, creating the valley elements encountered in the Tērvete valley, such as terraces and bottomlands are described. An insight on the methods and materials used in the research is given. In the results the constructed cross sections and longitudinal profiles, as well as other morphological data gathered, are analyzed.
