Abstract

Maģistra darba temats ir “Leģitīmā interese kā personas datu apstrādes tiesiskais pamats”. Darba mērķis ir analizēt normatīvo ietvaru, kas regulē personas datu apstrādi, balstoties uz pārziņa vai trešās personas leģitīmo interesi, kā arī šī datu apstrādes tiesiskā pamata piemērošanu praksē dažādās jomās, un konstatēt iespējamos problemātiskos aspektus šī datu apstrādes tiesiskā pamata piemērošanā. Veicot normatīvo aktu un citu avotu apskatu un analīzi, izveidots pārskats par aspektiem, kas jāanalizē, pārliecinoties, vai personas datu apstrāde, balstoties uz leģitīmo interesi, katrā gadījumā ir tiesiska, un atklātas galvenās praktiskās piemērošanas problēmas. The topic of this Master's thesis is “Legitimate Interest as the Legal Basis for Processing of Personal Data”. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the regulatory framework governing the processing of personal data on the basis of controller’s or third party’s legitimate interest, to examine the practical application of this legal basis in various areas, and to identify potential issues related to it. A review and analysis of the relevant laws and other sources has been conducted to provide an overview of the key aspects to consider when processing personal data on the basis of legitimate interest, and the main issues have been identified. The work consists of 5 chapters and 14 subsections. Keywords: personal data, personal data protection, legitimate interest, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
