Medicīniskās terminoloģijas mācīšana augstskolas līmenī

Abstract

Šī maģistra darba mērķis ir izpētīt veiksmīgākos medicīniskās terminoloģijas pasniegšanas metodes augstskolas līmeņa studentiem. Izmantojot triangulācijas metodi, autore analizēja augstskolas pasniedzēju, praktizējošo fizioterapeitu un studentu viedokļus par fizioterapijas specialitātes medicīniskās terminoloģijas atlasi un mācīšanas veidiem. Teorētiskajā daļā autore apskata dažādas terminoloģijas mācīšanas klasifikācijas un medicīniskā diskursa īpatnības. Apkopojot praktiskās daļas rezultātus, darba autore secinaja, ka veiksmīgākie medicīniskās terminoloģijas pasniegšanas paņēmieni ir priedēkļu un piedēkļu mācīšana, vārdu atpazīšana no konteksta, mnemoniskie uzdevumi, asociāciju veidošana un diskusijas.

This Master thesis is aimed at the investigation of the most beneficial methods of teaching medical terminology for tertiary level students. Applying the method of triangulation, the author analysed the views of university lecturers, practising doctors and students concerning the selection and teaching of the medical terminology in the field of physiotherapy. The theoretical part includes different vocabulary teaching classifications as well as the specific features of medical discourse. Summarizing the results of the pilot study, the author concluded that the most beneficial methods for presenting medical terminology are the study of prefixes and suffixes, guessing from the context, mnemonics, creating associations and discussions.
