Pētījuma praktiskajā daļā, izmantojot pedagoģiskā novērojuma, pārrunu un anketēšanas metodes, pētīti un analizēti piecgadīgu un sešgadīgu bērnu lasītprasmju veicinošie faktori, izmaiņas lasītprasmju attīstībā, pielietojot izstrādāto darba metodiku, kā arī vingrinājumu un rotaļspēļu kopumu. Pētījuma rezultāti apliecina, ka rotaļas, mērķtiecīgi organizēts pedagoģiskais process, atbilstoša materiālā bāze un pirmsskolas skolotāja sadarbība ar vecākiem sekmē lasītprasmju apguvi. Goal of the Research: to examine and elaborate the most appropriate methods and a set of games for the acquisition of reading skills for five and six year olds. The theoretical part is based on conclusions by J.A. Comenius, K. Ushinskiy, L. Vigotskiy, K. Dēķens, R.Boša, D. Lieģeniece, D. Dzintere and other remarkable educators and psychologists on the acquisition of reading skills and the corresponding psychological and pedagogical processes. The practical part being based on such methods as pedagogical observation, discussions and questionnaires provides the research and analysis of the factors that promote reading skills for the five and six year olds and it describes the changes in the development of reading skills while implementing the elaborated teaching methods, drills and a set of games. The results of the research confirm that games, purposefully organized pedagogical process, corresponding resources and cooperation between the preschool teachers and parents promotes the acquisition of reading skills.
