Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma: Dzimuma stereotipi vispārējās aprūpes māsas profesijā sabiedrības skatījumā Darba vadītājs: Mg. sc. sal., Laura Vīksna Tēmas aktualitāte: Spriežot pēc vispārējās aprūpes māsu profesijas vēsturi, šajā profesijā vienmēr skaitliski dominēja sievietēs, tomēr pēdējos gados mēs esam bijuši liecinieki vīriešu pieaugošai interesei šajā profesijā. Dzimuma stereotipi ietekmē sabiedrību, tāpēc arī interesanti izpētīt, kā sabiedrība uztver vīriešus vispārējās aprūpes māsu profesijā. Bakalaura darba mērķis: Noskaidrot dzimuma stereotipus vispārējās aprūpes māsu profesijā sabiedrības skatījumā. Darba uzdevumi: 1. Apkopot un analizēt teorētisko literatūru par dzimuma stereotipiem, tās mijiedarbību ar sociālo vidi; 2. Izveidot pētījuma instrumentu – anketu; 3. Veikt kvantitatīvu pētījumu – respondentu aptauja tiešsaistē par dzimuma stereotipiem vispārējās aprūpes māsas profesijā; 4. Analizēt un interpretēt iegūtos pētījuma rezultātus; 5. Balstoties uz iegūtajiem pētījuma rezultātiem, izdarīt secinājumus un sniegt ieteikumus saistībā ar dzimuma stereotipiem vispārējās aprūpes māsas profesiju. Pētījuma hipotēze: Pacienti citādi uztver vispārējās aprūpes māsu – vīrieti, respektīvi šaubas viņa emocionālajā līdzdalībā un empātijā. Pētījuma metode: kvantitatīvā pētīšanas metode Pētījuma instruments: anketa tiešsaistē Pētījuma rezultāti: Lielākajā daļā respondentu, vērtējot apgalvojumus, saistītus ar vīriešu un sieviešu lomu vispārējās aprūpes māsu profesijā, iesniedza atbildes, kurus interpretējot, var secināt, ka dzimuma stereotipi neietekmē (vidējais aritmētiskais ir no 1,00 līdz 1,99) vai drīzāk neietekmē (vidējais aritmētiskais ir no 2,00 līdz 2,99) sabiedrības uzskatu par māsu profesiju.

However, the number of male nurses has increased in recent years. Given the impact of gender stereotypes on societal perceptions, it is worthwhile to explore society's views on male nurses. The purpose of the study: Exploring gender stereotypes in nursing from a societal perspective. The main tasks: 1. To analyze the existing scientific literature and other theoretical sources related to gender stereotypes and nursing in society. 2. Identification and preparation of research questionary. 3. To do quantitative research. 4. To analyze and to interpret the results of the questionary. 5. To define conclusions and to issue recommendations related to gender stereotypes and nursing in society’s view. The research hypothesis: Patients perceive male and female nurses differently due to differences in emotional engagement and levels of empathy. The research method: quantitative research method The research instrument: online questionnaire The research results: Most respondents, when evaluating statements related to the roles of men and women in the nursing profession, provided answers which, upon interpretation, suggest that gender stereotypes either do not influence (mean score between 1.00 and 1.99) or rather do not influence (mean score between 2.00 and 2.99) society’s perception of the nursing profession.
