Abstract
Diplomdarbā uzsvērta problēma par maksas un bezmaksas programmatūru lietojumu Rīgas Domes pakļautībā esošajās skolās. Izpētīts datoru lietošanas pamatojums Rīgas skolās. Salīdzinātas atvērtā pirmkoda programmas Linux, Linux Ubuntu, OpenOffice ar Microsoft attiecīgajiem maksas produktiem Windows un Ms Office. Darba ietvaros veikta aptauja par Rīgas skolu vadībā lietoto programmatūru. Ir sasniegts diplomdarba mērķis – pierādīts, ka Rīgas domes pakļautībā esošajās skolās iespējams tērēt mazākus līdzekļus datorprogrammu iegādei.
A problem emphasized in this diploma paper was the use of paid and of free software available in schools under the control of Rigas Dome. A substantiation of use of computer in schools of Riga was researched. Open source programmes Linux, Linux Ubuntu, Open Office were compared to paid products of Microsoft, such as Windows and Ms Office. A poll was taken about software used in the management of schools in Riga. The aim of the diploma paper was achieved – it was proved, that it is possible to decrease the expenditure on purchase of software in schools that are under the control of Rigas Dome.
