Abstract
Pētījums veikts par līdz šim historiogrāfijā neaplūkotu tēmu – kara medicīnas iestāžu darbību Neatkarības kara laikā, no 1919. gada vasaras līdz 1920. gada 11. augustam, kad Latvija un Krievija parakstīja miera līgumu. Mērķis ir izpētīt kara medicīnas iestāžu darbības pamatprincipus, aplūkot vispārējo situāciju medicīnas iestādēs un noskaidrot, kā izpaudās medicīniskās palīdzības nodrošināšana ievainotajiem un slimajiem Latvijas armijas karavīriem.
The study has been carried about a previously undiscussed subject in historiography, i.e., the activity of military medical institutions during the War of Independence from summer 1919 until 11 August 1920, when Latvia and Soviet Russia signed a peace treaty. The objective was to study the basic principles of the activity of military medical institutions, to discuss the general situation in medical institutions and to determine the process of ensuring medical aid to wounded and ill soldiers of the Latvian Army.
