Abstract
Bachelor thesis is written in Latvian. It contains 50 pages, 15 pictures, 2 appendixes, 34 references. Purpose: to find out the possible interaction between the fungi C.albicans and the siliconehydrogel contact lenses. Tasks: to determine the frequency of C.ablicans occurrence in an average human’s microflora and the ability of adherence in siliconehydrogel lenses. Methods: infusions are taken from conjunctive and fingers, siliconehydrogel lenses of 4 materials were soaked in C.albicans solutions, cultivated in Saburo agar. Results: in the eye cojunctive can find Penicillium and Candida spp. In the fingers microflora can also find Aspergillus spp. All contact lenses possess adhesion, lotrafilcon B possess the most, balafilcon A – the least. Key words: microflora of eyes and hands, siliconehydrogel contact lenses, C.albicans, infection.
