Abstract
Gatavas lietojumprogrammatūras lokalizācija ir process, kas sastāv no valodas,
programmatūras satura un dizaina pielāgošanas kādai atrašanās vietai (parasti valstij) ar
mērķi atspoguļot vietējās vides prasības. Lokalizācijas procesu ir iespējams iedalīt trīs
pamat procesos: tulkošana, personalizācija un pielāgošana, kurus visus ir iespējams
automatizēt.
Darba mērķis ir attēlot veikto pētījumu par lietojumprogrammatūras lokalizāciju un
tās automatizēšanas iespējām. Tiek aprakstīti iespējamie lokalizācijas automatizēšanas rīki
un veikta to analīze. Strādājot pie reāla uzdevuma lokalizēt uzņēmuma resursu plānošanas
programmatūru Oracle E-Business Suite ieviešanas projektā, saskaroties ar dažādām
lokalizācijas problēmām, tika izstrādāta rīku pielietošanas labā prakse. Rezultātā darbā
atspoguļoti lokalizācijas automatizēšanas principi.
Localization of third party application software is of adaptation of language, contents and design for a specific national environment to meet its local requirements. Localization is divided into three main processes: translation, personalization and local-specific adaptation, all of which can be automated. The aim of this document is to describe the study on application localization and its automation potential. Possible application localization tools are described and analysed. Good practices of application of localization tools were developed while working on a real project for localization of enterprise resource planning system Oracle E-Business Suite, meeting with many localization problems and challenges. In result the document describes the principles of localization automation.
