Abstract
Bakalaura darbā „Osamas bin Ladena tēls Tuvo Austrumu medijos” tiek analizēts kāds ir
bin Ladena tēls vadošajos reģiona medijos, kā arī tiek apskatīts kādas tendences ir novērojamas
Tuvo Austrumu plašsaziņas līdzekļos. Darba mērķis ir, apskatot bin Ladena tēlu, dot atbildi uz
jautājumu, vai Tuvo Austrumu mediji ir neatkarīgi un kāda ir viņu loma bin Ladena tēla
veidošanā. Autors nonāca pie secinājuma, ka bin Ladena tēls medijos ir atkarīgs no mediju
īpašnieku veiktās politikas. Darbs sastāv no 3 nodaļām. Darbā tiek apskatīta Osamas bin Ladena
biogrāfija, Tuvo Austrumu mediju attiecības ar politiku, kā arī tiek analizēts kā mediji attēloja bin
Ladenu pēc viņa nāves.
Bachelor’s degree research paper “An Image of Osama bin Laden in Middle East media” examines bin Laden's image in the leading mass media in the region, as well as trends observed in the Middle East media. The aim of the work is by analyzing image of bin Laden to give answer to the question whether the Middle East media are independent and what is their role in creating bin Laden's image. Author concluded that bin Laden's image in Middle East media depends on the media owner's policy. The paper consists of 3 chapters. The paper examines Osama bin Laden’s biography, Middle East media relations with politics, as well as analyzing how the media portrayed the bin Laden after his death.
