Eiropas identitātes konstrukcija (trīs dalībvalstu gadījums)

Abstract

Eiropas Savienības integrācijas un vienotās identitātes jautājumi ir aktuāla Eiropas Savienības ideoloģijas sastāvdaļa un skar katru no tās dalībvalstīm tieši tāpat, kā tās skar dažādi politiskie un ekonomiskie lēmumi. Darba mērķis ir izprast to, kā tiek veidota Eiropas Savienības vienotā identitāte pēc sociālā konstruktīvisma teorijas, pētot vienu no konstruktīvisma elementiem – simbolismu. Aplūkojot dažādus Eiropas Savienības būtiskos simbolus un pielīdzinot to aktualitāti nacionālajiem simboliem izvēlēto dalībnieku – Lielbritānijas, Latvijas un Vācijas galvaspilsētās. Šādi var iegūt nelielu ieskatu tajā, kā dažādi simboliskie elementi tiek lietoti lai veicinātu vienotas identitātes veidošanos, un vēlāk šo elementu lietojumu var salīdzināt ar patieso situāciju analizējot dažādas aptaujas, lai secinātu simbolisma ietekmes apmērus.Integration and identity of European Union is a topic that is affecting every member state just as much as all the political and economic decisions. The main goal of this research is to understand the process of the construction of European identity through on of the elements of the theory of social constructivism – symbolism. By analysing different symbols of European Union and comparing them to the use of national symbols it is possible to see the process of construction of European identity and later with the help of Eurobarometer data it is possible to see does the use of symbolism affects the actual feelings of European identity in the case of three members of the Union.
