Maģistra darbā tiek pētīta cilvēka kā pilsētas iedzīvotāja pārvietošanās pa ielām kā pilsētas publiskajā telpā, kā arī konstatētas problemātiskās vietas, kur nepieciešams veikt risinājumus.
Darbs sastāv no četrām daļām. Pirmajā daļā tiek izklāstīta sapratne par publisko telpu un ielas kā publiskās telpas pamatprincipi. Otrajā daļā tiek aprakstīti darbā izmantotie materiāli un metodes. Trešajā daļā tiek apskatīta Ikšķiles ielu struktūras veidošanās pēdējos 100 gados, apskatītas ielas kā publiskās telpas Ikšķilē un to tīklojums, izmantojot arī aptaujā iegūtos datus. Ceturtajā daļā tiek aprakstītas Ikšķiles pilsētas telpas attīstības iespējas.
Rezultātā tiek veikts Ikšķiles pilsētas iedzīvotāju kustību telpas novērtējums, kā arī izklāstīta galvenā šīs telpas problemātika un sniegti priekšlikumi veiksmīgai gājēju kustībai pilsētā.

The paper consists of four parts. Understanding of public space and principles of street as public space are inspected in the first part. Used materials and methods are described in the second part. Formations of street as public space in Ikskile in last 100 years and network of street as public space in Ikskile using the data from the survey are inspected in the third part. Development opportunities of Ikskile town space are described in the fourth part. In the consequence of the paper, space of movement in Ikskile town inhabitants are estimated, also the main issues of this space are accomplished and suggestions for successful movement of inhabitants in town are given.
