Abstract
Bakalaura darba tēma ir „Eiropas Savienības konkurences politika farmācijas nozarē”
Farmācijas nozare ir viena no prioritārajām sfērām ES, kurā ir vislielākais intelektuālā
īpašuma īpatsvars. Darba mērķis ir pamatojoties uz Eiropas Komisijas un Latvijas
Konkurences Padomes īstenotās konkurences politikas, īpaši farmācijas nozarē, analīzi,
identificēt nozīmīgākās tendences ES konkurences politikas īstenošanā un izstrādāt
priekšlikumus tās pilnveidošanai. Neskaitot izmantotas literatūras sarakstu, darbs sastāv no 75
lapām un sastāv no trim daļām. Pirmajā daļā tiek apskatīti teorētiskie jautājumi par
konkurenci un konkurences politiku, otrajā tiek izskatīta ES konkurences politika un tās
reglamentējošie jautājumi un to pielietojums farmācijas nozarē; trešajā tika aplūkota
farmācijas tirgus situācijas Latvijā.

The theme of bachelor thesis is „European Union competition policy in pharmaceuticals sector” Pharmaceuticals sector is set to be one of EU priorities, with one of the highest overall EU GDP. The aim of this thesis is to identify key trends in EU competition policy implementation especially in pharmaceuticals sector, after analyzing European Commission’s and Latvian Competition Council’s performance and decisions made. This work contains 75 pages and is divided in three main parts. In the first part competition and competition policy main theoretical aspects are reviewed. The second chapter provides with information about current EU competition policy development and its implementation in pharmaceuticals sector, looking in details at pharmaceutical sector inquiry and parallel trade of medicaments.The third part gives information about current situation in Latvian pharmaceutical market.
