Abstract
Pētījumā piedalījās 109 psihoterapeiti vecumā no 28-59 gadiem,118 citu profesiju pārstāvji
vecumā no 30-57 gadiem, 45 psihoterapeitu klienti, vecumā no 18-58 gadiem. Pētījumā tika
izmantoti šādi instrumenti: “Tests radošai domāšanai-attēlu veidošana” (Test of Creative
Thinking – Drawing Production; TCT-DP; Urban & Jellen, 1995), Lielā Piecinieka aptauja (The
Big Five Inventory; John, Donahue & Kentle, 1991), Traumas simptomu aptauja (Trauma
Creativity and personality traits of psychotherapists in association with changes in symptoms of the psychotherapists' clients The purpose of this study is to clarify whether creativity of psychotherapists and manifestation of their personality traits is related to changes in the clients’ problem symptoms and what symptoms are decreasing most. There were 109 psychotherapists at the age from 28 to 59, 118 representatives of other professions at the age from 30 to 57 and 45 clients of psychotherapists at the age from 18 to 58 participating in research. The following instruments were used in the study: Test of Creative Thinking – Drawing Production (TCT-DP; Urban & Jellen, 1995); The Big Five Inventory (John, Donahue & Kentle, 1991); Trauma Symptom Inventory (TSI; Briere, 1995) as well as demographic information surveys. It was concluded in the study that creativity and personality traits of psychotherapists are essentially related to changes in clients’ symptoms between the first and the tenth psychotherapy session.
