Abstract
Bakalaura darbā tika pētīti Aieviekstes kreisā krasta un Remīnes dolomīti, kuriem tika raksturotas fizikālās, ķīmiskās, mehāniskās īpašības un petrogrāfiskais sastāvs. Pētījuma laikā tika izgatavoti 9 plānslīpējumi, veikti 9 mehāniskās spiedes pretestības testi, makroskopiskā un plānslīpējumu mikroskopiskā analīze, kā arī dokumentēti abu atradņu atsegumu griezumi. Galvenais darba uzdevums bija salīdzināt paraugus pēc mehāniskās izturības.
Secināts, ka abās atradnēs ir sastopami visu 4 litoloģiski rūpniecisko tipu dolomīti, kas savstarpēji pēc mehāniskās izturības ļoti atšķiras un tas, ka mehāniskās īpašības visvairāk ietekmē fizikālās īpašības, bet vismazāk – ķīmiskās.

Two sections of outcrops have been documented - one in each quarry. 9 sample have been collected and described – 6 from Remīnes and 3 from Aiviekstes left bank quarry. 9 thin – sections were made and analyzed and 9 mechanical compression strength tests were performed. Bachelor’s main aim was to compare mechanical properties of both quarries. The conclusion is drawn that the mechanical properties mainly depends on dolostone physical properties, but at least on chemical properties.
